Making a difference

Why we serve

The Christian life is one of service to others and particularly to those in need. As the faithful we believe that serving others is not only an opportunity to live out the gifts of our faith, but to encounter the person of Christ. By entering into relationship with others we are reminded of our own need, our own reliance on God and the generosity we ourselves have received from others. The opportunities you will find here are provided to build and achieve relationships with those in our greater community.

The list provided is guided by the criteria given in the Corporal Works of Mercy to:

  • Feed the hungry
  • Give drink to the thirsty
  • Clothe the naked
  • Shelter the homeless
  • Visit the sick
  • Visit those in prison
  • Bury the dead.

Thank you for sharing your time and talent.
