Hello OLPH! My name is Mary Lynne Januszewski. I am so excited to be your new Director of Finance and Operations! It has always been a dream of mine to somehow incorporate my business background into a parish setting, as I have always loved numbers and parish life – choosing Accounting for an undergraduate degree and Religious Ed for a master’s degree.
For the last 39 years I have worked in accounting at The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired, lastly as its Executive Vice President and CFO – a job and people that I have loved and will miss dearly.
My childhood in Brooklyn, New York, taught me the importance of community. I have always stayed close to parish life, and, for the last 32 years, my family has belonged to Holy Cross in Deerfield, where I served on the School Board and Parish Finance Council.
My family, which includes my husband, Jerry, my grown children, Mark and Lindsay, Mark’s wife, Erin, and two beautiful granddaughters, are so pleased that I have chosen this path for my “retirement” years. I look forward to learning more about all of you as time goes on!
