Austria ... Croatia ... Slovenia ... Italy ... Germany
11 Days - Treasures of the Adriatic & the Alps
Vienna ... Graz ... Zagreb ... Ljubljana ... Lake Bled ... Venice… Oberammergau

Highlights of our adventure will include the imperial City of Vienna with its Schonbrunn Palace, Hofburg Palace, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral; we then cross into Croatia where we’ll visit the capital city of Zagreb and its historical center. Then on to Slovenia to visit Ljubljana and Lake Bled to enjoy the spectacular Alpine scenery. We will visit the Postojna Caves, regarded as the highlight of any visit to Slovenia. Our next stop takes us to Venice, Italy for two nights and we will depart the Adriatic coast and return to the Alps.

We will visit Bolzano, home of the South Tirol Archaeological Museum which houses one of the most fascinating discoveries ever to be found in Europe. The Man in the Ice is one of the oldest and most complete human finds in the world, and was discovered on a glacier in the Ötz Valley and is estimated to be 5300 years old. Then over the Brenner Pass through the Austrian Tirol and on to Oberammergau for the Passion Play. This play has been performed in Oberammergau since 1634 in thanksgiving for being spared from the plague (sound familiar?) The play not only survived more than 350 years, but became famous all over the world. Oberammergau is also well-known for the traditional craft of wood-carving and for the frescoes decorating the village houses.

Please join us for this informational meeting. Seats are limited for this particular trip and reservations should be made as soon as possible.
