The Immaculate Conception Novena 11/29 – 12/8
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 is a Holy Day of Obligation. It is a day for us to reflect on Mary’s life and how God chose her to be our “model of holiness.” The yes of Mary at the Annunciation, the culmination of the Immaculate Conception, undoes the disobedience of Eden and makes paradise a possibility for us once again (from The Magnificat).
- Prepare with 9 days of prayer and petition: Thursday, November 29 through Friday, December 7
- The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saturday, December 8; Masses at 6:30, 8:20, 12:15 ; Friday, December 7, Vigil at 7:00 pm.
