Compassionate, Faithful People Wanted

Training for New Ministers of Care Begins September 30

Ministers of Care bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are homebound, living in nursing homes, or in the hospital. They share with them the word of God in scripture, pray with them for the Church and the world, and offer them companionship. Through the Ministry of Care we are able to keep long-time parishioners of OLPH connected and active in our faith community.
The work of the Ministry of Care is open to all members of our parish community, and a basic training course for new Ministers of Care will begin on Wednesday, September 30 The
training will take place on five successive Wednesday evenings.
The training will help you develop the skills and confidence needed to be a source of comfort to those who are sick. Each weekly session will last two hours and will be facilitated by Rick Nash and three retired priests.
Completion of this course qualifies you to receive the Archdiocesan mandate to bring Communion to the sick, homebound and hospitalized of our parish.
Please contact Rick Nash for more information or to register for the training sessions.
