Scripture Study: Acts of the Apostles

Using the Threshold Bible Study program and video reflections by OLPH priests, our Parish Scripture Study introduces Catholics to a deeper understanding of the Bible. Small groups of 8-12 people meet weekly with a facilitator to guide prayer and discussion of specific books of the Bible. The groups meet at convenient day and evening times in homes or on the OLPH campus. The Scripture Study Ministry offers two programs a year, one beginning in January and the other in September.

We are currenlty registering particpants for the Winter/Spring 2019 session, studying The Acts of the Apostles. As the companion volume to the Gospel of Luke, Acts is our only biblical record of the church’s earliest history, and Luke’s lively account includes dramatic spiritual experiences; missionary journeys; trials and imprisonments; powerful speeches; sea voyages and a shipwreck.

The Winter/Spring program includes 11 sessions and runs from January 28 to April 8. The materials fee is $25 to be collected at the first session.

For more information, contact the head of the ministry (see below) or call the parish office at 847.729.1525.
