Sunday of the Word of God

Pope Francis has announced the third Sunday in Ordinary Time, January 26, as a day for “the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God”. It is being called The Sunday of the Word of God. This day is intended to bring awareness of the importance of God’s Word and how it can open our hearts and minds to love and mercy.

At OLPH our parishioners are exposed to the Word of God in many ways. The Scripture Study program is one way we can come to a greater understanding of God’s Word so it can be applied to our everyday lives. Currently, we have over 200 participants studying Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans.

We welcome all who would like to join us for our next study in Fall 2020. Contact Dawn Ludden at dawntludden@hotmail.com if you would like to be placed on a list for the next session.

“Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32)
