Youth Ministry

OLPH Youth Ministry

The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Youth Group aims to bring the young people of the Parish to a realization that our God loves them deeply. The center of the life of our youth group is the Eucharist. From the Eucharist, we branch out to the intellectual life, the spiritual life, the physical life, and the life of service.

Youth Ministry Advisory Board

Recently I asked for adult volunteers to serve on the Youth Ministry Advisory Committee. I foresee meeting every month or six weeks so that we can discuss what is happening, what is coming up and how Youth Ministry is progressing. You need no expertise, just a strong desire to help as we develop this program. The group will begin meeting in January. Please volunteer by emailing me.

Kairos Retreat for Youth

Kairos is a unique spiritual experience for high school juniors and seniors with effects that can last a lifetime. A biannual retreat, Kairos brings 50 young retreatants, 14 young leaders, three adult leaders, and the director together to listen to the stories of their peers and to reflect on their own lives and priorities. They are given opportunities to make appropriate adjustments and receive the powerful direction and support of their peer leaders and adult leaders.
