“We proclaim that human life is a precious gift from God; that each person who receives this gift has responsibilities toward God, self and others; and that society, through its laws and social institutions, must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence.”
U.S. Catholic Bishops, Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities, November 2001.
The OLPH Respect Life Committee is seeking new members. The time commitment is not excessive—we have two major events that we plan each year. To become more actively involved in mission of the Gospel of Life through peaceful activism, education, prayer and service, please contact Monica Cassidy [1].
The Respect Life Committee at Our Lady of Perpetual Help is committed to promoting and building a more just society, consistent with our Catholic beliefs, where every human life is cherished and protected from conception until natural death.
Membership is open to all OLPH parishioners who have a passion for the dignity and sanctity of all human life and a desire to share that beautiful truth in a peaceful and compassionate manner.
The Respect Life Committee sponsors an annual Mother’s Day Baby Shower, as well as other events throughout the year. Contact Monica C. [1] 847.724.7206 for more information about Respect Life.
