OLPH Sharks Swim Team Fall Season

Season Try-outs, September 12

The OLPH Sharks program is open to all parish children. New this year, the Sharks offer a Developmental Swim Team for intermediate swimmers. Come to the open try-outs at the Playdium Pool on September 12. Email the swim team directors for more information.

The OLPH Playdium

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish has an amazing recreation facility right on its campus. For nearly fifty years the Playdium has provided fun and relaxation to parish families. Over the years, the Playdium has hosted countless school sporting events and parish functions.

Although roller skating no longer takes place here, our gym and pool are always bustling with activity. We offer many athletic and recreation programs that help build community within the parish.

Our pool is a wonderful resource for aquatically inclined parishioners. We offer Adult Swim, Swim Lessons and the OLPH Sharks Swim Team.

YMCA Swim Lessons - Recently, the parish partnered with the North Suburban YMCA to provide swim lessons. Classes are available for infants and children of preschool age up to eighth grade. The YMCA also holds occasional Family Nights that provide fun water activities for families. Contact Frank Lenardi, Director of Aquatics at the NSYMCA for further details about lessons at OLPH.

Sharks Swim Program -  The Sharks Swim Team is made up of children of the parish (whether school or religious education students) who enjoy swimming competitively and wish to improve their skills. The team is coached by Chris DeJong and John Lonergan, two professional swimmers with excellent credentials and experience.
