Advent Themes from the Book of Isaiah

Monday, December 7 at 7:00 pm in McDonnell Hall

Presented by Professor Pauline Viviano, Loyola University Chicago

Description: The Old Testament prophet Isaiah is the most often quoted prophet in the New Testament. To celebrate the season of Advent, we will explore what it is about the message of Isaiah that makes it so relevant to the coming of the Messiah.

We will consider the prophet's message in its historical context, and how that message speaks to the New Testament, the early Church of Jesus, and his significance for the world.

FREE and open to the public. This talk is part of our Adult Education "Scripture Institute"
